On November 1, 2024, I was awarded a Doctorate in Music from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London.
My thesis, titled The Impact of Live-streamed and Recorded Live Music on the International Classical Music Environment, is available to read in the Research section of this website, as well as here:
My supervisors were Dr. Cormac Newark, Dr. Sarah Fuchs, and Professor Jacqueline Ross.
As of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, the Guildhall School of Music & Drama ranks 3rd globally for Music with a score of 93.8, and 4th globally for Performing Arts with a score of 91.2. In the UK, Guildhall holds the top position in the Complete University Guide’s Arts, Drama & Music league table for 2025, reaffirming its national leadership in these fields.
In the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021, Guildhall was the highest-ranked music conservatoire, with 56% of its research rated 4★ (world-leading) and 100% of its impact case studies also judged as 4★. Overall, 77% of its research (4★ + 3★) received internationally excellent or world-leading ratings—the second-highest score among all UK conservatoires across drama, music, and production arts.
NYX Trio has released a new record "10 dedications" under the record label "Prima Classics". The album is available on Spotify and in selected music stores from October 17.
10 years ago, on a rainy autumn evening, the idea of the trio was born. It was simply because we wanted to play together and discover the new music as a permanent ensemble. As a result of this nocturnal contemplation, after a short while the NYX TRIO was created, and we are truly happy the stars aligned in that moment so this idea could not only appear but also materialise and grow.
Over these ten years we have discovered, studied and in one or another way brought to the listener just about everything that Latvian composers have created for our blend of instruments, including new pieces that have been dedicated to us or at least composed with us in mind. This music is special, personal, and very, very diverse – just like the times we are living in.
We would like to thank all the brilliant creative minds with whom we have had the honour to collaborate with over these ten years. This recording is essentially a highly personal story about us, the NYX TRIO, and our shared journey in music.

New release Dreamscape by Prima Classic with pianist Dzintra Erliha and cellist Ivars Bezprozvanovs. The album is now available on all digital platforms.
The album is a tribute to the female composers of 21st century, put together and recorded by USA based Latvian born pianist Dzintra Erliha. Alnum includes several world premieres, including the piece for violin, cello and piano by Grammy winning composer Lolita Ritmanis Vignettes of the Park.
Peace, silence, meditation, dreams, reflections, memories… And love. That is how one could describe my album DREAMSCAPE. It is dedicated to piano music by female composers of the 21st century. These are women from all over the world whose creative paths have crossed with mine. I have chosen these pieces based on one principle – they resonate with my inner world.
